Capital Garage Equipment supplied relevant information along with drawings for DVSA approval. Not only were we involved in the initial design, but we also completed a full turnkey project undertaking all groundworks.
Unfortunately, not every project runs smoothly from start to finish. Capital Garage Equipment had started excavating for the Steel Pit when at 2.0m below FFL realised the area from -1.7m to -2.0m was weak and had elements of running sand.
After consulting a structural engineer Capital Garage Equipment came up with the design of the sheet piling (as pictured) and supplied and installed with minimal fuss in doing so. The sheet piling did have its downside, with the building restricted with head height and the sheet piling sticking approx 200mm above FFL, it meant there was no choice but to go through the roof with the pit.
All images were of the job, and shows the lengths that Capital Garage Equipment will go to in order to keep the project moving.
